The project Comunità Ospitale was conceived and is developing with the society Borghi Autentici d’Italia. 26 of 60 County Council members are engaged in this project at various stage of advancement.
The Comunità Ospitale is a new model of tourism, where the town with its inhabitants become the main attraction of the holiday.
The project is aimed at small urban centres of a historical interest, many date back to medieval times or to the Italian renaissance, which singularly or a part of a national organise a modern and competitive way to offer hospitality of good quality to tourists, exploiting the national heritage and the natural resources. Particularly attention is paid to safeguard the environment and to preserve the original character of the town concerned. To achieve this Comunità Ospitale and use it to the best of its advantage is not easy. There are many obstacles and difficulties which can only be overcome by a strong and determined local administrators and the partecipation of the town’s citizens.

IT’S A CHALLENGE!!

The Comunità Ospitale aims at offering a personalised, slow holiday focalising n the discovery of the territory to people, families or groups of friends interested in local culture and traditions, sensitive to matters regarding the environment and its safeguard, and curious to discover local food and wine. These people expect to find all the facilities and services necessary to  make their stay comfortable and do not want to feel abandoned or isolated after their arrival or during their stay.

The Comunità Ospitale (the Hospitable Community) is a place where the guest/toursit feel cittadini (citizens) even if temporanei (temporary).
They can identify themselves with the gentle rhythm of town life, where they can take advantage of the services available, become familiar with, and appreciate the local products, while re-discovering a more real, authentic way of life.
This is what the Comunità Ospitale is organized to do.
The citizens and the local administrators assure their guests a warm welcome and an unforgettable stay.

(Styles of lifes and flavours from the past)

All the Comunità Ospitale members of the Borghi Autentici d’Italia Society are working, on a nationwide project to promote and bring out the best of the local farm products, wines and sporots and local craftsmanship.
These local products which will be chosen, controlled and guaranteed by the organization, will be listed in a catologue.
The guest will have the opportunity not only to buy local products during their stay, but also to order them on the Internet and have them sent directly to their address all year round, naturally when the product in question is available.
